Oranto performs the role of early exploration phase licence Operator, conducting subsurface technical work programs and operating seismic acquisition activity. We establish and de-risk prospectivity of acreage to attract a technical partner to operate the Licence during the drilling phase of the exploration. Whilst we often remain the Administrative Operator throughout a licence, the drilling operations are typically conducted by a farm-in technical partner to conduct all well operations.
Our current portfolio of acreage spans onshore, near shore, mid shore and deep water blocks. Many licences are adjacent to, on trend with and within the prospective fairway of world class recent discoveries. Some deep water prospects offer billion barrel drilling opportunities. Also within the portfolio are field appraisal and development projects.
Atlas is our production company and currently benefits from 14,000 boe per day from across our portfolio. The two production hubs at present are Block I in Equatorial Guinea and our block OML109 operations offshore Nigeria.
