Exploration, development and production assets

The Atlas and Oranto acreage portfolio has delivered success with the drill bit. Our producing assets are currently producing 18,000 barrels of oil per day, a figure anticipated to significantly increase due to already scheduled new development drilling in 2019. The exploration upside of the portfolio offers billion-barrel drill ready prospects in many licences. Appraisal and field development farm-in opportunities are available on a number of licences.

Oranto Petroleum performs the role of early exploration phase licence operator, conducting subsurface technical work programs and acquiring seismic data. We establish and de-risk prospectivity of acreages to attract technical partners to operate these licences during the exploration drilling phase. While Oranto often remains the administrative operator for a licence, drilling operations are typically conducted by a farm-in technical partner who conducts all well operations.

Oranto’s current portfolio spans onshore, near-shore, mid-shore and deepwater blocks. Many licences are adjacent to, on trend with and within the prospective fairway of recent world class discoveries in West Africa. Some deepwater prospects offer billion-barrel drilling opportunities. Also within the portfolio are field appraisal and development projects.

Atlas International is our production company and currently produces 18,000 boepd from two production hubs: Block I in Equatorial Guinea and OML109 offshore Nigeria.
